Urgent – Sunni Endowment announces Thursday as 1st Day of Eid al-Fitr

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Sunni Endowment announced, tomorrow, Thursday as the first day of Eid al-Fitr.The Head of Sunni Endowment, Ahmed Abdul Ghafor al-Sammarai, stated in a press conference held at Um al-Tebool mosque on Wednesday evening ”The legitimate vision for the moon of Shawwal month has been proven and thus we announce Thursday as the first day of Eid al-Fitr, ” noting that ”The announcement of Eid al-Fitr came in coordination with the Sunni Endowment of Kurdistan Region.”The office of the High Religious Authority, Ali al-Sistani, still did not announce yet whether Thursday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr or the 30th day of Ramadan.
