Urgent – Temporary vehicle registration plates to be banned in Baghdad as of 2014

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The General Traffic Directorate announced banning the movement of vehicles that carry temporary registration plate as of beginning of next year 2014.The Director of Media and Relations Department, Brigadier Najam Abd Jabber, reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The Traffic Directorate will settle the matter of changing the temporary registration plates into a permanent registration plates at the end of 2013.””Due to the increase of vehicles that carry the temporary registration plates, since the vehicles number exceeds (1,650,000), the duration allocated to change the temporary plates will might be extended for two months till February/ 2013 at most,” he concluded. \END\
