Veterinary Department prevents importing expired cheese

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The General Company for Veterinary announced banning importing 24 tons of expired Polish made Keri cheese.

A statement by the Company cited that “The Director General of the Company Salah Fadhil Abbas met with the importers where they discussed the mechanisms of the importation and the obstacles that hinder their work and performance.”

“Abbas stressed the importance of applying the instructions issued by the Company for their crucial significance in protecting the public interests,” the statement mentioned.

On other hand, the statement referred that “The cadres of the veterinary hospitals related to the Company in Maysan, Basra and Dhi Qar provinces continue a campaign for the vaccination against diseases of antiseptic blood hemorrhagic fever and anthrax-offs to preserve the animal wealth and protect the human health.”
