180 ISIL terrorists killed southern Tikrit

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Ministry of Defense confirmed that “Operation of liberating Yathrib district of southern Tikrit resulted in killing 180 terrorists and destroying weapons caches and eight vehicles for the ISIL.”

A statement by the Defense Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “Samarra Operations Command supported by volunteers and air force continue efforts to liberate Yathrib district as well as areas of Qadissiya, Albujaili, Matharie and Jisr Khashabi towards Dholuiya district.”

“The Iraqi Security Forces killed 180 terrorists and destroyed six weapons caches as well as vehicles mounted with heavy machine-guns,” the statement added.

“ISF also managed to liberate Dholuiya airport,” the statement concluded. /End/
