105 Prisoners escapes, 9 security elements killed in Tasferat prison incident

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) A security source reported that ”About (105) prisoners escaped from Tasferat prison while nine security elements were killed.”

The source added “The armed clashes which occurred between the security forces and the gunmen who implemented an armed attack on Tasferat prison resulted in killing 30 terrorists while (105) prisoners has escaped.”

The source continued saying that ”The armed clashes resulted in killing five security elements and four officers.”

Earlier, An armed group detonated a car bomb near Tasferat prison in Tikrit city and managed to take control on the prison with the assistance of some rebel prisoners.
