More than 100 Italian military trainer would begin training Iraqi forces by next fall.

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Interior Ministry announced Sunday, that more than 100 Italian military trainer would begin training Iraqi forces by next fall, while Minister al-Ghabban stressed that the region is facing a “comprehensive war” that requires integrated efforts to face it.

The ministry said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, “This afternoon, al-Ghabban met the Italian Ambassador in Baghdad Marco Carnelos accompanied by the General Consul Patrick Mora in his office at the ministry,” noting that, “The two sides discussed the Iraqi-Italian cooperation in the field of security and the efforts of Italy in the field of training Iraqi police.”

The statement also added, “The number of trainers will reach 110 trainers by next fall, noting that, “They will transfer the Italian experience to the Iraqi security forces,” pointing out that, “The procedures to ensure the reception of trainers had been established.”
