11 killed, wounded in 2 Baghdad blasts

BAGDHAD / IraqiNews.com: Eleven persons were killed or wounded in two blasts that rocked the Iraqi capital on Thursday, Iraqi police said. “Today, a car bomb went off inside a market in al-Huriyya area, northwestern Baghdad, killing a civilian and wounding five others,” a police source told IraqiNews.com. “An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated in Baghdad’s eastern area of al-Fadiliya while a police patrol vehicle was passing the location, wounding five persons, including three patrolmen,” another security source said. The explosion caused damage to three civilian vehicles and the patrol car, according to the source. SS (P) 1
