(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Sunday, Baghdad Operations Command announced, that an explosion has taken place in one of the weapons stores in Abu Gharib area in western Baghdad.

Baghdad Operations Command spokesman, General-Officer Saad Moen, stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Today, an explosion has taken place in one of the weapons stores in the district of al-Nasr-was-Salam in the area of Abu Gharib as a result of the accumulation of arms,” noting that, “The explosion resulted in killing 11 soldiers and wounding others in the area.”

Moen added, “The bombing was an accident and not caused by a terrorist act.”

  1. A result of the accumulation of arms that is rubbish excuse. Regardless of how much explosive material it has got to be stored properly and handled properly by specially trained personnel and if that is done then there will be no problems and no accidents.
