(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Sunday, Baghdad Operations Command announced, that an explosion has taken place in one of the weapons stores in Abu Gharib area in western Baghdad.

Baghdad Operations Command spokesman, General-Officer Saad Moen, stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Today, an explosion has taken place in one of the weapons stores in the district of al-Nasr-was-Salam in the area of Abu Gharib as a result of the accumulation of arms,” noting that, “The explosion resulted in killing 11 soldiers and wounding others in the area.”

Moen added, “The bombing was an accident and not caused by a terrorist act.”
