11 wanted persons arrested, IED defused in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen in Basra arrested 11 wanted persons during search raids all over the province on Thursday, a local security source said. “Police forces conducted search raids in different areas of Basra, capturing 11 wanted men on various charges,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Criminal evidence police personnel also defused an improvised explosive device (IED) composed of three hand-grenades in al-Jihad neighborhood, western Basra,” he added.
