15 years in prison for Kurdish Ministry bombers

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: The Sulaimaniya Court issued a verdict of 15 years in prison for two persons convicted of bombing the Sulaimniya branch of the Peshemarga Ministry on Oct. 5, 2005. The explosion left scores of Peshmerga fighters killed and wounded, according to a release issued by the Kurdish security forces on Tuesday. “The verdict was issued on August 30, 2009,” said the release received by Iraqi News. “One of the convicted persons is 28 years old and lives in Diala province, while the other one is 34 and from Sulaimaniya,” it said. “Both convicted men admitted to their involvement in the attack,” the release said.
