18 wanted persons, suspects detained in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested on Friday 18 wanted persons and suspected gunmen in separate areas of Basra, a police source said. “Policemen waged crackdown operations in separate areas of Basra, where they arrested nine wanted persons for perpetrating criminal crimes and three wanted men for terrorist crimes as well as six suspects,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The forces seized light weapons, a rocket propelled grenade (RPG) and seven unlicensed vehicles,” he added.
