Diyala (IraqiNews) A security source informed, on Tuesday, that two bombs exploded inside the garage of Muqdadiyah Police Chief’s house, in Diyala Province. No casualties were reported.

The source said in a press statement that two explosive devices, emplaced inside the garage of Muqdadiyah Police Chief’s house, in Sariha area, exploded.

No human losses were reported, the source added on condition of anonymity.

It is noteworthy that Muqdadiyah is a city in Diyala Province in Iraq. The city is located about 80 km northeast of Baghdad and 30 km northeast of Baqubah, the capital of Diyala.

The city has a mixed population, with Arabs forming the majority. Other inhabitants are the Kurds and Turkomans. In 1960s and 1970s, the Shia Kurds constituted the majority of the city’s population, followed by the Shia Turkomans.
