(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – According to a police source, two civilians were killed, while a child and a woman were injured in the explosion of an explosive device south of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Today, an explosive device, placed in a street in Madain district south of Baghdad, exploded, resulting in the death of two civilians and the injury of a child and a woman.”

The source, who asked not to be named, added: “The security forces cordoned off the scene, while the bodies of the dead were transferred to the forensic medicine department and the wounded to the nearest hospital for treatment.”
