2 IED blasts leave policeman killed, 4 wounded in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Two improvised explosive devices went off in southern Kirkuk on Sunday, leaving a policeman killed and four others from another police patrol wounded, a security source in the city said. “An IED went off today near a patrol of al-Orouba police in al-Hajjaj neighborhood, southern Kirkuk, killing a policeman and causing severe damage to the patrol vehicle,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “Another IED went off right after a second patrol arrived at the scene of the blast to back up the first patrol, leaving four patrolmen wounded,” the source said, not revealing more details about the incidents.
