2 killed, 19 wounded in Samarra bombing

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: One person was killed and 19 others were wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a restaurant in Samarra, a local police source said on Saturday, adding that a curfew has been announced in the city until further notice. “The final toll from the suicide bombing is 2 dead and 19 wounded persons, including Sahwa and police personnel,” a local medic told IraqiNews.com news agency. Local police forces have imposed a curfew in the city until further notice for fear of similar attacks, a security source noted. Earlier today, a suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest blew himself up in a popular restaurant near the Imam Ali al-Hadi shrine, downtown Samarra.
