2 policemen wounded in blast in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Two policemen were wounded on Sunday when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off near their patrol in southern Kirkuk city, the Kirkuk’s al-Miqdad police department chief said. “The IED targeted an Emergency Police patrol near the al-Nour Grand Mosque, southern Kirkuk city, leaving two patrolmen wounded,” Col. Ghazi Ali Rasheed told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A patrol vehicle was damaged in the explosion,” he added. The oil-rich city of Kirkuk lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
