3 wanted men nabbed, IED defused in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Three wanted persons were arrested and an improvised explosive device (IED) was defused during search raids in different parts of Basra, a local police source said on Sunday. “Those arrested included two persons wanted on criminal charges and one on terror-related charges,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Four unlicensed vehicles have been seized during the raids,” the source added. The Shiite province of Basra lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 4
