31 wanted persons arrested – three rockets dismantled in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces in Basra on Sunday have arrested 31 wanted men and dismantled three rockets ready for launch during a search and seizure operation in different parts of Basra Province, the province’s media office announced. “Basra police forces have carried out search and seizure operations in the province on Sunday, arresting 4 demanded persons, suspected for carrying out terrorist activities. 27 others, wanted for having carried out different crimes, were also arrested, and light weapons and unlicensed vehicles were seized,” the media office said. He added that the said police forces have dismantled three rockets ready to be launched, along with their bases, in Abu-Skheir, 12 km to the north of Basra. Basra is 590 km to the south of Baghdad.
