4 policemen killed, 2 wounded in blast in Samarra

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Four policemen were killed and two others wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off near a police patrol in central Samarra, a local security source said. “The charge blast targeted a local police patrol in al-Moutassem neighborhood, central Samarra, leaving four patrolmen killed and two others seriously wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The police forces and the Samarra Operations Command (SOC) personnel launched a campaign to search for the culprits, imposing tight security measures on the city’s neighborhoods,” he added.
