4 soldiers injured by car bomb blast in Ninewa

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Four Iraqi soldiers were wounded on Monday in a suicide car bomb explosion in west of Mosul city, a police source said. “A suicide bomber blew up a car rigged with explosives targeting an Iraqi army vehicle patrol in Rabieyaa district, west of Mosul, injuring four soldiers,” the source told IraqiNews.com. He gave no more details. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. The original city of Mosul stands on the west bank of the Tigris River, opposite the ancient biblical city of Nineveh on the east bank, but the metropolitan area has now grown to encompass substantial areas on both banks, with five bridges linking the two sides.
