4 soldiers killed in ISIS attack on military post south of Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that an officer and 3 soldiers have been killed in a militant attack on a military post in south of Tikrit.
The source informed IraqiNews, “Elements of the ISIS group attacked an army security checkpoint in the area of al-Farhatiyah in the outskirts of Balad (80 km south of Tikrit),” pointing out that, “The attack resulted in killing an army officer and 3 soldiers in the post.”
“A security force shortly blockaded the area and transferred the dead to the Forensic Medicine Authority,” the source added.
