4 suspects arrested, arms seized in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Joint Iraqi army and police forces detained four suspects and seized arms and explosives south of Baaquba on Saturday, according to the Diala police chief. “Policemen, in collaboration with army forces and backing from the Multi-National Force (MNF) troops, conducted an operation targeting al-Qaeda network and some wanted persons inside areas in the district of Buhrez, (5 km) south of Baaquba,” Brig. Abdelhussein al-Shimari told IraqiNews.com. “Four suspects were arrested and a number of guns and containers full of liquid explosive material were seized in the operation,” Shimari said, declining to give more details.
