4 wanted persons captured in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen in Basra arrested four wanted persons in different areas of the province and defused an improvised explosive device (IED) on Sunday, a local police source said. “Police forces raided different areas of Basra, arresting four wanted on various charges,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Criminal Evidence Police Department also defused an IED in Umm Qasr, (60 km) western Basra,” the source added. The oil-rich port city of Basra, Iraq’s only outlet to waterways, lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
