5 suspected AQI members nabbed in Mosul, Anbar – MNF

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Five persons suspected of having links with al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) were arrested in separate operations conducted in the provinces of Ninewa and Anbar, the Multi-National Force said in a statement on Thursday. “Two were arrested in Anbar, one of them is wanted, believed to have been working with al-Qaeda. A third one suspected of having helped foreign terrorists to enter Iraq was arrested in Saf al-Tout village, (36 km) southwest of Mosul,” according to the MNF release received by IraqiNews.com. “IN the area of Hammam al-Alil, (20 km) southeast of Mosul, two persons suspected of having links with al-Qaeda were captured,” read the statement, not giving more details.
