8 people killed, wounded in bomb blast near shops northeast of Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast near shops northeast of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for, “A bomb exploded, this evening, near commercial markets in Shaab District northeast of Baghdad, killing one person and wounding seven others.”

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “A security force rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the body of the dead man to the forensic medicine department, while opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and the party that stands behind it.”
