(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad-A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Monday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast northwest of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded this morning near shops in al-Horiya area northwest of Baghdad, resulting in the killing of two people and wounding six others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “Ambulances rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital to receive treatment and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department, while the security forces cordoned off the area of ​​the incident and prevented approaching it.”
