(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Thursday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast southwest of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “a bomb exploded, today, near the shops in Sweep area southwest of Baghdad, resulting in the death of two people and wounding six others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “the security force rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine departments.”
