8 smugglers, infiltrators nabbed on Iraqi-Syrian border

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Border guard forces arrested eight infiltrators and smugglers on the Iraqi-Syrian borders west of Mosul city, a source from Ninewa operation command said on Wednesday. “Today, a force from the 6 th Brigade arrested three persons in Sanouni district, Sinjar (120 km west of Mosul) while they were trying to smuggle 93 sheep on the Iraqi-Syrian borders,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “A Kia-modeled vehicle was also seized by the security forces,” the source added. Meanwhile, five Iraqis who were trying to illegally cross the border from Syria were also captured, the source added. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SS (P) 1
