9 killed, wounded by IED near Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Nine persons on Saturday were killed or wounded when an explosive device detonated near Baghdad, according to an Iraqi police source. “A roadside improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unknown men went off in Abu Ghraib area (20 km west of Baghdad city), killing two persons and wounding seven others,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Security forces sealed off the area of the blast and the wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, the source added. SS (P) 1
