9 persons injured Baghdad attacks

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: At least 9 persons, including 3 policemen, have been injured in a Katyusha rockets attack and an explosive charge blast south and southeast of Baghdad on Sunday night, a security source reported on Monday. “A number of Katyusha rockets fell on a housing compound in southern Baghdad‘s Daura district on Sunday night, seriously wounding 4 civilians, along with causing material damage to some houses,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “An explosive charge blew up against a police patrol on southeast Baghdad‘s Old Diyala Bridge, wounding 2 civilians and 3 policemen, along with causing damage to one of the patrol’s cars,” he added. The security source noted that the police cordoned off the venue of the explosion and drove the injured persons to a nearby hospital for treatment, and have launched an investigation into the incident. 890
