A Boy – a Cop killed in joint military raid south Tikrit

SALAHALDIN/ IraqiNews.com: A young boy and a cop were killed in a joint Iraqi-US aerial landing south of Tikrit village, sources said here today.   The father of the boy was injured in the raid.   Abdulla al-Mujama’i , relative, told IraqiNews.com that a joint Iraqi-US aerial landing operation was made on Khidhr village, 60 km south Tikrit.   The deceased cop was the neighbor who went outside to check the situation, who was shot immediately, the source added.   During the last few months, Salahuddin province witnessed several aerial landing operations, the last one resulted in killing four people, including an old man, and wounding six, some women among them.   Tikrit city, center of Salahuddin province, lies 175 km north west the capital, Baghdad  RM (TS)/SR 944
