American F-16 jet fighter crashes, kills its pilot in the Middle East

(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, the US Central Command announced that, the commander of an American F-16 fighter jet was killed in a plane crash on his way to a military base in an area in the Middle East.

According to Sky News Arabic, the leadership began to investigate the causes of the incident, and said that it had nothing to do with the operations run by the US military in Iraq and Syria against the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Noteworthy, US military aircrafts have been launching air strikes against ISIS sites in Iraq and Syria for several weeks now, as part of that international coalition of more than 50 countries.
