Arms cache seized in Anbar

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Policemen in al-Anbar province seized an arms cache on Friday during an operation conducted in the northwestern part of the city, according to a security source. “Policemen in al-Obaidi district, northwest of Ramadi city, carried out a security operation in the village of Mishaal in the district thanks to intelligence tips by local residents,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “The cache contained six RPG shells, 24 rockets, six Katyusha missiles, detonation wires and four improvised explosive devices,” the source said. “Two suspects were arrested during the raid and were referred to investigation authorities,” he added. Ramadi, the capital city of the predominantly Sunni province of al-Anbar, lies 110 km west of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
