Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A small bag of potato chips tossed in front of a security member has sparked a deadly armed confrontation between neighbors in a Baghdad neighborhood, eyewitnesses said Monday.

Alsumaria News quoted the witnesses saying that the family of an Interior Ministry agent and their neighbor in Ghazaliya district, west of Baghdad, engaged in a fight after the agent was enraged by a bag of potato chips his neighbor had trashed in front of his home.

According to the eyewitnesses, after the encounter was briefly dissolved, the security agent’s family threw trash at their neighbor’s home in response, renewing the clash.

“The agent brought a vehicle laden with gunmen who shot at the neighbor’s house indiscriminately, killing a person who was meddling to end the fight, and wounding the agent’s brother”.

A total of 117 Iraqi civilians were killed and another 264 injured in acts of terrorism, violence and armed conflict in Iraq in November, according to casualty figures recorded by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI).
