Bomb blast kills 7 police elements in west of Samarra

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that 7 elements of the federal police force have been killed in a bomb blast that targeted a security patrol in west of Samarra district.
The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “A bomb that was emplaced on the roadside of the main road which links between Samarra and al-Thurtar area, located in west of Samarra, has went off targeting a security patrol for the 1st brigade of the federal police,” pointing out that, “The explosion resulted in killing 7 elements of the federal police.”
“A security force arrived in the area and transferred the dead to a near hospital,” the source also added.
