Bomb blast kills, wounds 5 persons southwest of Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry said on Saturday, that five people had been either killed or injured in a bomb blast that took place southwest of Baghdad.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said in a statement received by, “An explosive device went off near a trade fair in the area of al-Baya’a southwest of Baghdad, resulting in the death of one person and wounding four others.”

The source added, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital and the dead body to the forensic medicine authority, while conducted a raid operation to search for the perpetrators of the attack.”
