Bomb blast kills, wounds 6 civilians in al-Rashid vicinity south of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi police said on Wednesday, that two civilians had been killed and four others were injured in a bomb blast that took place south of Baghdad.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “This afternoon, an explosive device that was emplaced on the road side in the village of al-Karaghul in the vicinity of al-Rashid, south of Baghdad, has went off resulting in the death of two civilians and wounding four others,” adding that, “A security force blockaded the area of the incident, while ambulances transferred the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and the two dead bodies to the forensic medicine authority.”
