Bomb explosion in eastern Baghdad, eight casualties

( Baghdad – A source from the Ministry of Interior informed on Thursday that a bomb explosion in eastern Baghdad left one dead and seven (7) others injured.

Sharing details about the blast, the source said, “This morning a bomb exploded near shops at al-Zaafarniya in eastern Baghdad. The intensity of the blast was quite powerful as it killed one person on the sport and injured seven others.”

Adding further the source said, “Security forces rushed to the blast area and immediately transferred the injured to a nearby hospital, while the body of the deceased was sent to the forensic department.”
