A huge bomb explosion in the Iraqi capital Baghdad

Mosul ( Two people were wounded Saturday in a booby-trap explosion in Mosul, northern Iraq, the former capital of Islamic State militancy.

Iraqi security media reported that two people were wounded in a booby-trapped motorbike explosion in Dawasa district, western Mosul, in which the statement labelled a terrorist attack.

Iraqi forces recaptured Mosul from IS militants in July 2017, and later announced the recapture of all territories under the militants’ control by the end of the year.

Iraqi security forces continue, however, to struggle against occasional attacks against their troops as well as civilians.
