Urgent – 200 Qaeda prisoners escape of Tasfirat prison

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) More than (200) prisoners escaped from Tasfirat prison in Tikrit city, the capital of Salah-il-Din province of northwestern Iraq.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Thursday that ”The prisoners, among them Qaeda elements, escaped from Tasfirat prison which witnesses armed clashes between the IA forces and the gunmen who took control on the prison.”

The source added “Violent clashes are taking place between the IA forces and the gunmen as well as prisoners who escaped from the prison and seized weapons from the prison located in 100 Dar area.”
