Urgent – .MoD: Car bomb explodes in Kirkuk

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) A car bomb exploded in Kirkuk province on Sunday.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, Dhiya al-Wakil, stated to IraqiNews.com “The car bomb that was parked near K 1 Camp went off targeting a gathering of civilians who are willing to join the Iraqi Army, killing and injuring a number of them,” noting that “The explosion also caused material damages to the nearby vehicles.”

“The Ambulances hurried to the explosion site and transferred the injured individuals to the hospital for treatment as well as transferring the dead bodies to the morgue,” the spokesman concluded.
