Urgent – Sabotage stops Iraqi oil exports through Turkey pipeline

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Turkish authorities announced that the exports of the Iraqi crude oil through Turkey have stopped due to the explosion that targeted one of the oil pipelines in the Turkish territories.

Turkish official at the Turkish Energy Ministry stated on Monday “The explosion happened on Sunday night targeting Kirkuk-Jihan pipeline that transports a quarter of the crude oil exports where the repairs may last to ten days.”

“The explosion took place in Mardlin state in Kurdistan region of Turkey,” he added, noting that “The explosion resulted in a big fire that is continuing till now.”

The official did not specify the reasons and the doers of the explosion.
