British consul meets Maysan police commander

Maysan, Amara (IraqiNews.com) The Commander of Maysan Police Department Brigadier Ali al-Hashimi met the British consul and discussed with him the common security cooperation.

Maysan Police Department quoted Hashimi as saying in statement received by IraqiNews.com that ”The British consul, MC Debbie Tomlinson, and his deputy visited the headquarter of Basra Operations Command after completing their visit to the provincial council and the bureau of Basra province,” noting that “The meeting included discussing the security situation and the cooperation among the security bodies as well as coordination with the local government in the province.”

According to the statement ”The British consul appreciated the efforts exerted by the security forces in Maysan province and the construction and reconstruction movement which became very obvious for the visitors of the province.”

The statement added that ”Maysan province is so different of other provinces and we noticed huge progress in construction due to the security stability in the region,” stresing that “Therefor, we will encourage the British companies to invest in Maysan province in order to contribute in construction and reconstruction sectors.”
