Building of Diyala PC evacuated due to threats

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) The building of Diyala Provincial Council was evacuated due to information about intention of armed groups to attack it.

The media Advisor of the Head of Diyala PC, Jamal al-Rubaiyi, stated to IraqiNews.com “Intelligence information assured that the armed groups aim at breaking into the building after killing the security elements responsible of protecting the building.”

“On the basis of this information, members of Diyala PC were informed not to attend to the building,” he concluded.

Earlier, gunmen attacked Diyala PC building in 2011 killing and injuring dozens of security elements.
