Car bombing wounds 2 persons in Jizaniy village northeast of Baqubah

( Diyali – A security source in Diyali province said on Wednesday, that two persons had been injured in a bomb blast that took place northeast of Baqubah.

The source, who requested anonymity, said in a statement received by, “In the late hours of yesterday, an explosive device that was emplaced on the road side near the village of al-Jizaniy (32 km northeast of Baqubah) went off while a taxi was passing in [the area], resulting in the injury of two persons that were inside it.”

The source also added, “A security force cordoned off the area of the incident and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.”
