Chairman of Anbar PC survives assassination attempt

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) The Chairman of Anbar Provincial Council, Karhoot al-Halbousi, survived an assassination attempt by an Improvised Explosive Device targeted his patrol of eastern Fallujah district.

A security source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “An IED targeted Halbousi’s patrol and result in injuring four of his guards and destroying one of the vehicles of eastern Fallujah.”

“Halbousi survived the assassination attempt and his injured guards were transferred to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
