Commander of Salah-il-Din police dismissed due to prisoners escape from Tasferat prison

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) Security source revealed that Major General Ghanim al-Quraishi is appointed as the commander of Salah-il-Din Police and detaining the commander of Tikrit Police Department Abdul Karim al-Khazraji.

The source reported to IraqiNews.comJ on Friday that ”The Governorate decided to dismiss the Khazraji and appoint Quraishi instead of him on the background of gunmens’ attack on Tasferat prison in Tikrit and the escape of most of the prisoners.”

The source added “The Commander of the ground forces Let. Gen. Ali Ghedan and the commander of Samara Operations Command Let. Gen. Rasheed Fleh are commanding the security operations against the gunmen who attacked Tasferat prison.” \
