Double attack targets IA checkpoint in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Three soldiers of the Iraqi Army were killed due to an armed attack and an explosion of an Improvised Explosive Device in Qayyarah district in southern Mosul.

Security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com on Monday that ”Unidentified gunmen killed three IA soldiers when they opened fire targeting their checkpoint and detonated an IED close to it,” noting that “A security force transported the dead bodies to the morgue.”

Baghdad and many other provinces witnessed, on Monday morning, the third of Ramadan, a series of blasts caused by car bombs and IEDs which resulted in killing and injuring many citizens and security elements.
