Former Basra governor assassinated

Basra (IraqiNews.com) The former Basra Governor was assassinated in Jazaer area in Basra province.

Security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com on Friday that ”Unidentified gunmen opened fire targeting Mohamed Musbah al-Waili, the former governor of Basra province, killing him immediately, in Jazaer area,” noting that “The security forces transported his dead body to the morgue.”

The source added “The security forces cordoned off the incident area and launched an investigation to figure out the circumstances and sides behind this incident.” \
