Governor of Nineveh survives assassination

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Governor of Nineveh, Atheel Al Nijaifi survived an assassination attempt when two Improvised Explosive Devices exploded in Al-Arabi neighborhood in north of Mosul.

Security source told IraqiNews.com “The two IEDs went off while Nijaifi’s motorcade was passing through Al-Arabi neighborhood. The blast resulted in injuring two members of Nineveh Provincial Council who were accompanied by the Governor.”
